The Montreal Symphony Orchestra, with Charles Dutoit as conductor, have recorded a very lush sounding cd. The music of French composer Maurice Ravel has been beautifully recorded on this cd. As one music critic said..."this sumptuous recording must be listened to. And this music will probably be enough to make your mouth water."

Justin Time Records 20th Anniversary Compilation 2 cd set. Justin Time specializes in jazz. It is a record label from Montreal and this latest release from them encompasses a large variety of jazz artists, old and new. This is an excellent sound quality cd set as it has been very well recorded.

The sonatas of George Frideric Haendel (CBC label) have been beautifully recorded on this cd. Only 3 insturments are played on this recording; the oboe, organ, and violin.
The music on this cd is based on both secular and sacred themes...baroque style of music which was very popular during the 1700's. The sound quality is top notch.

The title of the cd is; Karajan Forever (The Greatest Classical Hits).
Herbert von Karajan was the maestro conductor of the Berliner Philharmoniker Orchestra until his death. He conducted with absolute authority and his baton ruled his orchestra. The quality of the music produced while he was conducting is very apparent.
This 2 cd set consists of music by many different composers such as; Vivaldi, Albinoni, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Grieg, Sibelius, Dvorak, Schmidt, Bizet, Ravel, Verdi, Saint-Saens, Strauss, Mascagni, Bach, Massenet, Offenbach, Mahler, Prokofiev and Gluck. All of it played by the Berlin Philharmoniker under the baton of Karajan.
Many of the recordings on this cd were originally done during the '60s, '70s, and '80s in analog format. But not to worry, as Deutsche Grammophon (the label) has remastered them into digital fromat with the utmost attention to detail, thus resulting in a cd with exceptional sound quality.
Deutsche Grammophnon is a label based out of Germany which specializes in classical music and supreme sound quality. This cd is no exception.
Other high quality companies specializing in classical music include Philipps (Denmark), DECCA (England...I think), and Analekta (Canada).

Once again, James Ehnes proves his mettle by playing solo violin on some of the most technically challenging music written by Johan Sebastian Bach for violin.

Angele Dubeau & La Pieta is a group of twelve women from Canada who are all string players. Angele is the founder of this group and their music director. The music is all classical. The label is Analekta and the sound quality is immaculate.
