Anything by The Gorillaz, specifically "Clint Eastwood". Nothing gets my system working harder.

"Woofer Cooker", off the Boston Acoustics cd (available through Kazaa). And yes, it does, be carefull.

Anything by Pink Floyd.

Norah Jones for showing Mom.

Alex Pangman for showing Dad.

Tag Mclaren test cd an all rounded cd.

Alison Krauss and Union Station Live.
The album was recorded live at The Louisville Palace in Louisville, Kentucky.
For those who are deep into country and blue grass music, this is a MUST for collection.
Anyway, blue grass music is originated from Kentucky.
The performance was so vibrant throughout the entire concert time with Alison Krauss on the fiddle, Dan Tyminski on the guitar, Jerry Douglas on the dobro, Ron Block on the banjo and Barry Bales on the acoustics bass.
The positioning of the instruments is so evident on the dash-dobro on the left, fiddle/guitar on the center and the banjo on the right with the double bass at the windscreen, right in the center.

Artist: Tim Tamashiro
Album: Love
Released: Pony Canyon.

This is a Jap guy who lives in Canada, but sings Jazz vocals. Unlike those japlish singing in TBMs, you would not realised he's non western, very nice change.

The album covers quite a few Jazz classics like: I've got you under my skin, My Romance, Imagination and Nice & easy amongst others. Despite the covers, Tims got a very smooth personal stlye to the songs.

Highly enjoyable. Recording quality is excellent, as it is 24 bit mastering audiophile quality

Thumbs up

CD Title: SIBELIUS, RONDO OF THE WAVES.
Ensemble: Lahti Symphony Orchestra.
Conductor: Osmo Vanska.
Label: BIS.

Johan (Jean) Sibelius (1865-1957) was a Finnish composer who was extremely critical of himself to the point where most of his compositions were re-worked by him numerous times and some other works were completely witheld.

On this cd release, we have 3 different versions of the same symphonic movement, named THE OCEANIDES, also called RONDO OF THE WAVES. We also have 8 other symphonies that he composed during his lifetime.

I love it when a composer of a certain country, in this case, Finland, has his music performed by an orchestra from the same country and the conductor also from the same country, as is the situation with this cd. In fact, the recording label, BIS, is also from Finland.

The conductor, Osmo Vanska, has done a superb job in keeping the rhythms tight and the orchestra moving along at a good pace, not too slow and not overly fast either.

With demonstration quality engineering provided by BIS, we get an immaculate recording of Sibelius's music. On a very good to excellent sound system, you will get a sense of excellent layering, width and depth. This recording is atmospheric, yet also detailed at the same time. This is mostly due to the brilliant recording techniques used by BIS.

The recording took place at the Sibelius Hall, Lahti, Finland, between the years 2000 to 2003.

Some of the equipment employed by BIS include; Neumann microphones, Studer microphone pre-amplifier, Yamaha digital mixer, Genex recorder, and Sennheiser headphones.

A beautiful recording !!!

Getting to know you (MBVOC-1012)
The Musiclab label

All tracks on this disk are superbly mic'd. If you listen carefully on track 1 you can "see" her moving her head from side to side during the recording. An amazing singer from Hong Kong.
