Front Stage
Everytime I pop back on this thread I see more old members!
Nice!
Adam, the system isn't going to up and running for a little while... still much to sort out.
With regards to midbass that will fit underneath your dash while keeping those PL's as priority... are you looking for a very shallow mount driver? or would you consider doing an AP enclosure? If the latter, then that would definitely open up the selection! I doubt doing a midbass array would be an option... ?
If you're looking for a large tweet, I might be able to score a pair of Scan R2904/700000 at a good price.

I've played with the Scans...and like the Vifa XT25...the aren't so great off axis. As long as you are on axis, they are very good...but not the best I've heard. (I'm still in love with the Accutons)
For the midbass, there's still a few questions I need to answer for myself. For example, how much am I willing to hack up the kick area with the plasma cutter and my welder. That's probably the biggest question...but also, how can I fit the other drivers in the front stage. To be honest, I'd love to run a pro audio 10 or 12...cause that's what I think it's going to take to keep up with the subs. (Currently planned in the 4kw area) I really need to spend more time poking around the Tahoe before I plan the next step, but I am open to suggestions for great drivers. (Good one with the Scans BTW!)
I was just bustin' your *****
Well I expected at least one, probably 2 pairs of drivers in the pillars but I'm looking forward to seeing what you are putting in. We need more cool installs around here! I got an install going on my truck; I just need to get pics and crap together which takes much more time than a person thinks.

I was thinking of mounting the 4" mids and large format tweeters to the A-pillars, but it's going to be quite a task. I've got a couple of vehicles at my disposal, so I can afford to have the Tahoe "down" for a period of time, but I'm still on the fence about going crazy with this build. Where the heck do you mount a 4-way in a newer style Chev truck? Of course Tom is a HORRIBLE influence in this department! LOL (AKA Mr.Monoblock)
I'd love to see what you've done with your truck, post up the pics man!
It's been a busy week.
A brand new pair of Morel Supremos have been sourced, ETA 2-3 weeks as they are being sent from Israel.
The subs and 2 of the 6 amps I'll be using have been ordered from another source, ETA 2 -3 weeks pending shipping.
Midbass I'm down to 3 canidates, which I'm likely to order a pair of the most extreme option within the next week or so for testing.
Time to dig out LMS and get it setup again...
