How are things going for you Bill? any new SPL builds happening? people still have the excitement in your neck of the woods

 

We are hoping to have the civic ready for the Kamloops show, and or the coquitlam show. We are going to keep it small, I only have a 1000 watt amp, one batt., and 2 15" subs, hoping to be in the high 140's. The best i've done in this civic is 144 ish, and I can't seem to get more with the 15s, so i'm going to build a bigger box and bigger port and see what can be done??? Brian Johnstone is still active in spl, and is doing very well in the trunk class, he's bragging about cracking 150 this year in a trunk. Although I will never hear the end of it if he does. Other than that I have a guy who wants to compete this year, and he is running the perfect car. a 1991 Ford Festiva. Not sure what it will run but, it should be loud.

 

I am done so far for the year, had a motor give up on me on the subs I built. I am trying to sell my amp and get some new gear asap looking into a single sub set up but we will see what happens.

it sounds like he wants your amp. I told him something smells funny, I didn't think you were giving up that easy, and that you had something up your sleeve, maybe a different system perhaps??? You know Kevin Sask... was hitting in the 148+ (DB drag style) with a single 12 in a trunk...hmmmmm.....
