From my understanding, the DLS cars sounded good fron one seat. Gary's car sounds great from both. I've heard two of the DLS cars with Pillar mounts, as well as the Scott Bewilda's 240 (I don't think he owned the car though?) and Philip Petracca's Benz. All great sounding cars. But the best of them needed serious modifications in order to stage from both sides (Phil car was so far beyond anything I've seen, it's ridicules). And in the end, the Regal sounded almost as good!

If I were to guess, the next big JBL car will use a center channel and rears. JBL will want everyone to see the MS 8 in action. If it ever actully makes it to the public.

The advantage with kicks is mainly pathlength related. However, kick panel mounting will also give you more options for good driver positioning.

I will be at the Peterborough show. Hope I make the top ten. My car will not generate a center stage from both sides (yet!!!!), but other then that I'm ok.

Yes, Gary has and does use JBL speakers. He's used Revs yes, as well as a few other brands. But JBL has been his most often chosen. You herd they were Rev's? Have you ever sat in the car? Gary himself stated what speakers have been in the Regal over the last few years. But if that's not good enough for you. I have pictures of the Buick before his car was a big deal. He had JBL GTi components in the kicks (this was from the mid 90's when his car was still white).

When I referred to Scott Bewilda's 240 I was referring to the Red one. It had the tear drop shaped mids and tweets in the pillars. I don't think he was the owner of the car. But I will still refer to it as his. But I did also get to listen to the white one. I also had a chance to hear the Altima when it was owned by Scott and after he sold it. All good sounding cars. Scott is a true audio geek and deserves all the accolades he is given.
