Remotes - you can use most remotes without having to look at them unlike adjusting on the faceplate, it keeps your faceplate looking new with no wear marks, it keeps the face clean and your smudgy fingers off it. A touchscreen of that size is about as usefull as Glidetouch was.

And a 3-band ParaEQ is rather week in a HU of that MSRP.

Far too much useless bells and whistles in that Clarion IMO.

I'll stick with my previous suggestion of a Pioneer 880PRS.

I used to have that deck, worked perfectly fine and sounded great I would reccomend it, despite what hardworker said. Sounded better than any Alpine I've ever used.

I 've got an Eclipse 8445 and i find it's awesome for my expectations (imho).
It's got time alignment, x-overs, 8volt pre-outs, built in eq's, reads mp3 & wma's and much more.
I know its an older deck, but if you can find one, that would be my choice.

I'm thinking about trying out the Clarion 765. Seems to have most of the same sound producing components as the 955 with less of the extra stuff (like touch screen).
