I didn't understand any of this thread ^_^

So that's what a monster home SQ build looks like... I thought it would be bigger. What'd you use for subs? How many watts? That's a home-made amp? Damn! Does it get loud or what? Pink Floyd sounds amazing really loud on really good speakers.

beautiful but not much of a build thread...
Who what do you charge for a set of similar speakers?

rbgnwa45- this is a set of audiophile speakers they are meant to sound realistic with proper imaging and no coloration. They probably are capable of 120db which is more then loud enough for listening in home. The box pictured is actually the passive crossovers for the speakers.

That isn't an amp that is a crossover! I built a more modest one for my HAT front end (2nd order xover at 10k) in my car and you DONT want to know how much that cost me.
From the beginning of this thread I think the game plan changed a bit as it is not a ***** to the walls design but a solid musical design. The large woofers (I assume HAT 8") should go down to 50Hz pretty nicely so a sub is optional (but still welcomed by many). Bass does much better in the home then in the car.

The design is simple but elegant with nice wood work which is A LOT pricier than you might think. Visually it is consistent with a $8-10k product, who wouldn't want that in their living room?

This is going to sound crazy but I think my favourite part of this build is the crossovers, nice work John!

$8-10k!!?!?! I believe it. I was in EHR looking at 2 10" subs in a huge cabinet - priced at $10,000. I was like pfft, it must be the birch! Can we get a vid playing time by pink floyd?

Here they are at home and yes, thanks to Rick and my silence for the past few weeks - I'm back.

The sub cabinet is being built by me. She's drying in the garage as I type.

Everyone who's attending the Whitby show is welcome to come by to audition them.

Cheers Julian.

Btw Thanks Again John - Your gift is waiting for you!!!!!
