Should I add a second battery?

ya see this is what i'm wondering. I have the power there but i'm guessing it's really not going to be used. There is no way my 3-way is going to use 1KRMS, I can see the subs using 1200RMS.

typical sq setup doesnt envolve alot of power which is why if u have one good battery and a battery charger you would be fine

Every single SQ car I saw last reason was running a secondary batt, whether it be a yellow top, or kinetik 1800...

every sq car I saw was running a single kenetic battery and had no power issues what so ever if he invests in a good battery he wont have a problom and thats what a battery charger is for

Are you looking for engine off performance, if that's the case, then an extra deep cycle is a good idea. If it's for typical daily driving use while the engine is running, then you should be fine with a single, good condition battery, assuming your alternator and electrical system are in proper working condition. I've had my 2000watt rms system running on a red top for 5 years now with no issues (it's a daily driver that gets 4 hours a day of normal use). Typical music only demands on average about 20% of actual rms power...so unless you're at full tilt for a long duty cycle, you'll be fine.

yes i'll be using the car like yourself, day to day driving for the most part will only be listening to the music when the car is running.

you can also charge the battery when not running the car therefore itll last you a good week of daily driving you wont have any probloms

Very simple then...just one good battery will do the trick. Do the big 3, and save yourself a lot of money!
