Should I add a second battery?
right now I don't have anything in the car as i'm in the middle of my build but was just wondering as i'm doing the install I might as well do it right the first time. Alright so I made up my mind I'm going to run 1/0g power wire from the battery to the back and go from there if a battery is needed then i can just place one in my wheel well. Now this brings up another point is the "BIG THREE" really needed?
I hear it maks a difference then I hear that it's just something going around in the forums but really isn't needed. I would really like to hear from you guys what you think, keep in mind this is for a pure SQ setup

I never understand why anyone installing gear in a vehicle even hesitates about doing this. Whether you are going for for loud or clear, anything you add puts a new load on your car's electrical system. The system is built to power the car, not the new toys and the Big 3 is the cheapest upgrade you can do to help the vehicle deal with the increased demand. It may not solve all the issues that can occur, but it is a mandatory step to ready the vehicle for new alternator or battery upgrades anyways......so do it already.....

So if it's for a "pure SQ setup", wouldn't you want the most stable electrical setup you can get to power it?

I understand running bigger wire is better on the system and adding a second battery of course would help and having a bigger alt. The real question here is would I even notice a different if I went from 4ga to 0ga or adding the second battery. The reason why I’m asking is because I’m trying to fit 2 12" subs, 3 large amps and a bit one.1 all into a tiny trunk. So you can see adding a battery is going to be hard for me, if I have to then so be it but if I don't really need it then that would be great. i definitely know I don't want to sacrifice sound.
zero gauge is really an spl thing 4 gauge works and your doing a daily driver so theres no need for anything bigger then 4 gauge when your trying to squeeze out every .1 db for spl for example u need the zero gauge but for what your doing no u dont need it
