the L4 is a very special driver and can def be run tweeter-less for most people, but i still prefer to have a tweeter (L1v2) there playing from 8k and up. I found that the tweeter give a little bit more "sparkle" to the sound.

High end Morel, Focal, HAT, Dyn... all have the potential to sound extremely good but if poorly installed they might sound as bad as the cheap coax set you buy at walmart. At first my L4 sounded like and dicovered that i had some resonance problem in my pillar, when that was taken care of WOW it was a different sound completely.

okay I'll keep that in mind. When you say "sparkle" it kind of sounds like a good thing that I'd like. But by no means do I want it to be "bright" if that compares to sparkle lol.

Ive heard two different vehicles that have the L4's and L6's installed, one by one of the top 12 rated installers at the moment, and one from a rep for hybrid, and I did feel they were missing a "lil" bit in the higher frequencys. but not tooo much.

Ill be having the L4's installed in the kicks by a perfessional by the way, I dont know how to make kicks and dont know if I wanna take a chance at trying to make some lol

A "bright" tweeter should be corrected by lowering its level, a "harsh" tweeter it's another story but you can still use them by using a HPF of 8k+, this will get rid of the sibilance that is often associated with harsh tweeter.

Yup kick or apillar is good, in my van the kick wasn't an option so the L4 went in the pillar, with this the width is suffering a bit and the passenger side sound awful but no one sit there. Each vehicle is different but a good installer should be able to find the right solution for you.

find something that fits your install needs and power needs ... amps these days are all pretty damn good, so there's not much SQ u will get from one amp to the next other than the aforementiond and any tuning flexibility that they have...
