SQ improvement with ARC SE Amps
^ There was no money on the line but I took the test, along with probably 50 or 60 others that weekend. We all averaged less than 65% correct which is about what you can average by randomly guessing. The contestants: a well respected SQ amp at the time vs. deck power. ouch
JohnVroom took the test too I believe..

For those that are interested, I'm willing to provide my listening room to give our own CCA version of this test. I would provide the listening area, and some good quality speakers. Might be a fun trial. Nothing would really be accomplished, but if would still be a fun day.
so has this thread solved any problems?? or has it just created abunch of old no win opinions.. i say to this thread this.... nice to see you choose new amps.. i hope you win again at worlds.. which would be once with jl and once with arc... as far as that goes paul lets close this thread...
No reason to close this thread.
The problem is that nothing is really solved because , and this problem is way to common, but no real objectives were determined, so we are all arguing about various things... we would have needed to better define what was being argued.

this thread was just one persons personal feelings about something that he did in his car and was sharing it with the rest of us and then we get 7 pages of arguing over something that is not tangible... this thread is now useless.. amps when amplifing only, create no diviation of the sound, meaning what comes in is almost exactly the same as what comes out only amplified.. no difference in staging, imaging, tonal accuracy ect.is physically possible.. but are there small minut differeces amoung the output of each and every amp.. yes.. but are they easily audible.. no.. that why we keep fighting about this issue... thus no one can win the fight.... thats why i asked to kill this thread.. no one can win..
That's because there is no "Win or "lose", it's predominantely opinions backed by fan clubs of equipment they are currently using. Manufacturers don't help the cause as this helps to perpetuate and blurr the lines of what is "Reality", incidently this helps to line their wallets also. Implementation of average equipment by someone who is knowledgeable will always be superior to someone with deep pockets and no knowledge. This is probably why people with $$$$ have someone else install their equipment for them. Basically what I'm trying to say is, "don't get hung up by what equipment you're using but instead concentrate your efforts on learning what you can do to make them sound better".
