The more rigid the enclosure, the more output you'll have.

should i just worry about getting them in to a enclosure or try to make a specific volume?

I have two pairs of CDT ES-06 drivers in my front door, and, I gotta say, it gets crazy loud. I haven't tried getting a db-meter in, so I don't know how loud they get, but they do shake my rear-view mirror and driver side mirror pretty bad.

But, of course it's no subwoofer, but still very satisfying punch !

I have a pair of Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 in my doors as mid-bass (also have a pair of 5.25 in doors). I've experimented with mid-bass set-up for a few years now and I've finally just shut the mids down altogether - nothin but the 5.25s and the sub. Maybe I never got the crossovers and gains set right or maybe the Diamond speaker is not cut out to be a good midbass unit.

All I'm trying to say is you might end of investing time and money into something that isn't worth it... although for me it was because I do it as a hobby and I learned something from it! Might be the same for you.
