Thoughts on the Usher 9950 tweet? After doing some research, it seems very competitive to the scan-speak 9500 tweet though at a fraction of the prices. In similar comparisons, it beat out the Dyn esotec D260 as well. Quite interesting. I decided to pick up a pair off ebay for $100 to try them out.

Might be something to consider.

Minor, very minor detailes there boss.

They sound great, lower freq's tend to be too bright. That's what I was getting at.

The whole freq range on them is bright, that's just TN51's, they've always been like that, but I find that anywhere from 2500-7K is pretty bright...brighter than say 8-10K.Not sure of the reasion for this. The TN45's were like that too but they were a harsh tweeter to begin with.

I'm sure install plays a big role in that too....I've heard mostly a-pillar mounted TN51's and kick mounted TN45's.....when the TN45 is in the pillar it is really bright, needs an eq manufactured by Jesus himself to smooth it out.
