91 lexus es250 keeps deck won't turn on anymore
So here's the deal, I bought a 1991 lexus es250 and decided to put a sony deck, a 400W amp, and 10" Clarion sub that I've had sitting in my storage unit into it.
The system worked great for about a week, although the illumination wire also runs my dash, so I had it hooked up to my switched power source, so I could have dash lights even though that meant they were always on when the car was on.
I just recently had the quarter panels painted, and I get it back from paint and my deck won't power on.
So we check the radio fuse and it's FRIED. So I put in another one, it pops again. I disconnect the illumination wire and now the fuse isn't frying but the deck still won't power on. I tried plugging in the illumination wire to the switched power once again (no deck attached) and it fried the fuse again. (It's a 7.5A fuse)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
