The car Fozz built!!!
Never tried the visor trick. I do use foam inserts in different places, but thats about it. When I'm aiming speakers, I usally listen for frequency response and staging ques.
I will try the visor thing this weekend.

acoustic treatments will benefit inexpensive, expensive, simple or complex builds. Remember the things you can do to sound to alter it include: absorption, diffraction, reflection. You can almost target certain frequencies with the right material (foam or dynamat is not always the answer to every question)

hmmm your amp rack looks suspiciously like a floor board
ya know a little plexi, a little neon or LED and they would make quite a good lookin floorboard too!
word to the wise ensure your seat retains full range of motion (my wife couldn't reach the pedals) and I failed State inspection because of it so I had to remove my 8" mid-bass drivers to pass inspection every year

In Ontario we only need inspections down when we purchase/sell a car.
Then there is Michigan (I lived there for 3 years). As long as the car had a valid VIN you could throw plates on it and drive it . . .
I didn't enjoy my driving experiences there. There were too many people driving around with bumpers duct-taped on, trunks or hoods crumpled up from previous crashes, and random their junker would mean nothing to them, so I was always watching all my sides.
Wow its been awhile since ive been on CCA and I cant even believe all the work you have gotten done on your car in the last few months John! I had no idea you were even making such extensive changes to your vehicle and I must say im extremely impressed! It kinda makes my system feel a little inadequate in comparison!
What state do you live in?

wow you are right MC... and this is odd as everywhere I lived as an adult (NY, TX, NJ, VA, FL) required an inspection and now even some of them dont only 19 state require inspection (of those 13 MAY require emissions in metro areas) and 14 more only perform federal emissions testing I was way off. It is always a hassle and often expensive (I gave a car or two to the junk yard in NY durin my leaner YEARS when I couldnt afford to make it street legal).
How will you handle heat diffusion for the amps under the plexi-glass?
I'm assuming that you'll have the plexi-glass as close to the amps as possible to maximize floor height. Do you have "cooling" plans?
How do you plan on keeping the floor relatively free from moisture while allowing airflow?
