car would not start after blown power fuse for car audio..

If the battery was bad and voltage was down...clicking starter fits and the blown fuse makes sense too. Radio still working ... heck mine was still working after I had an accident a tore the top off the battery.

If its a GM, the clicky starter is likely a stuck solenoid, though it seems very coincidental that it happened at the same time you blew the fuse. May I ask how you blew the fuse? (doing a little welding with your power cable?)

i blew the fuse while rewireing the power cable. i forgot to take out the fuse or disconnect the battery.

the car is a prelude.

I'm charging my battery charger right now and will try tonight to see if it works with a boost. hopefully it does.

I will also check the starter relay fuse.

you discharged the battery enough to blow the fuse, my money's on a dead battery.

for all the people that say it was a dead batterY, "YOU ARE CORRECT"


i boosted it at lunch time and the car starts perfectly fine.
