Question

Okay, my car has a Bose deck which so far I intend on keeping (I know it blows but if you have seen a Mazda 6 dash than you know what a bitch it is to swap out). The amp for the speakers is actually seperate and mounted under the passenger seat. I am about to install a JL 500/5 to power my whole set-up, but have a couple of quick questions:

The JL amp only excepts RCA's and NOT speaker wire. I assume that the wiring going from the deck into the factory amp is low level and coming out of the amp is high level....correct? If so, how do I connect RCA's? Can I just splice them into the speaker wires before the amp and plug those into my JL amp? I have heard of some people using a LOC on the Mazda 6 boards....do I need to go that route?

Any/all help would be appreciated.

My friend, you are in need of Audio Control's awesome new piece of audio gear, The LC6. This is a multi channel line output adaptor and sub level controller. It will take 4 channels of input and give you 6 channels of high voltage output and a all important sub level controller as well.

Wow, that thing sounds great.....but do I NEED one? I am tight on funds right now, though I would spend the money if I had to. Are there any good places to get AudioControl products in T.O.?

Once again, thanks for the help.

I guess it can't hurt trying to splice in some RCA's and see if that works.......if not, than I guess I will need a LOC. What are your thoughts on the David Navone line of LOC's?
