An 1/8 wave won't reflect, have a look at the shape of a sine wave and you can see why.
Woofers make all sorts of goofy resonances and out of band harmonics though that can potentially reflect and make standing waves in parallel wall boxes.
I like to line at least one wall with some sort of damping and call it done. [img]smile.gif[/img]
