would like to keep OEM deck

Hey everyone i hope i am posting in the right section,i recently picked up a 2008 subaru impreza with the premium sound system(upgarded speakers, tweeters, and steering wheel controls),i like the deck but i need just a little more bass.I dug out my old 600w 2ch Kenwood amp to find that i have high level inputs! Now is it safe to assume that because the amp has the high level inputs on it that if i use them i will get no engine noise(electric whine) out of the sub? Also ,i have never needed to use them i usually have an aftermarket deck, can i run both R+L high level inputs in the same cable (like a 16awg/4condoctor sheilded),or do i run two 2 conductor cables,or all seperate single conductor? Is there a better way?If any one has some good advice i would like to hear it ,have any of you kept your factory deck with good results?

All you can do is try it. Most of the time you won't have any trouble adding an amp this way.

look up a cache audio cloc piece, it's the best right now for the price and ease of install. It has auto sensing turn on as well for your amp and a line driver built in!
