I've been looking into getting one but had a few questions to those that either have one or have had one.

Any big things I should be looking for when purchasing other than basic things like body panels and frame?

How reliable are they? How long do they seem to last? I've heard different stories when it comes to Honda, some say you can't kill them, others say that they just wear out after 150+.

Will a crx box still get loud if it's tuned low for daily driving?

Thanks for the help guys.

Thanks for the replies guys. The one I'm looking at is a 91 with about 250k on it.

Yeah it was just too bad that your 86 Civic basically disintegrated from rust....except for the motor lol

1. floors are normally rusted to hell, very hard to check and might be too late by the time u find out.
2. 250k.....will probably need a new motor and tranny if that hasnt been changed
3. makesure u get it with passed safety and emission, especially with 250k.
4. crx is hard to get loud, i've had 2 and my suv was always louder.

I have a 85, floors in front of and behind seats needed to be patched, as well as 3 of the 4 wheel wells. Other than that the thing runs really nice, gets good mileage.
