ok....since all you people don't seem to believe me or agree that a grand cherokee could ever come without door locks....the owners manual says grand cherokee.....the vin number on carfax.com pulls up a grand cherokee:

VIN: 1J4GZ68S7RC299229
Year/Make/Model: 1994 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SE
Body Style: 4 Dr. Wagon/Sport Utility
Engine Type: 4.0L L6 HO MPI
Manufactured In: UNITED STATES

dunno what the SE stands for maybe it's some weird edition that came without pwr doors or windows lol...or maybe second edition. Guess i'm lucky....i have a rare vehicle! lol

Anywho....glad we got that settled.

Hah! Gonna see what the shop tells me for wiring up door locks into my alarm/starter and whether it's a ripoff or not! Probably gonna be about $75/door which i'm not too excited about. If thats the case...i'll see if i can find some doors at a junkyard and yeah see how much work that is....door locks are hte most important....front windows would be nice!

when in doubt DIY i think door locks would be fairly simple really, actuator wired to a switch, and hooked to the bottom of the door lock rod dealy....

i dunno maybe im over simplifying it (i havent done it myself) but it dont seem too difficult... get the parts, buy some slurpees and have fun on a sunny saturday
