speeding tickets in BC

These "speed limits", are they signs on the side of the road, or are they infact some sort of device that limits your speed throught the use of radio waves or something of the sort?

I live in BC got 2 speeding tickets (10 over noth times) and now my licence is suspended. gettin it back October 13th.(2month susp.)
None of the tickets had the speed marked on em.

Have the speedomoter recertified, claim the cruise control was on under the speed limit, and fight it. Worst that happens is she pays anyway.
