I was thinking of having one the weekend before Fathers Day because last year on that day, we had complaints that it was conflictual with their fathers day obligations.

So, the 14th of June is the day that I'm shooting for.

As for Andre's, I'd like to schedule ours around theirs so that we can get there too.

I was talking with Robert @ Westcoast Extremes about this. We are going to go for coffee this week to figure some things out. Stay tuned!

I can feel the hand of force coming down on my shop for the Term Lab to be the more important tool to be used in the competitions.
While I am looking at IASCA for my main competitions this year, I know that some people would like to score points for California world finals. Hmmm: USACi, or DB Drag...

I'm sure we can figure it out soon.

So, Norm (Absolute) went that way last year, but didn't draw in as many people as Robert (Westcoast) did.

What is the secret to getting more new people into the show?

We were at "Driven To Perform" last year, but I didn't see anything come out of it. It seemed like a big waste of time & money. Our show last year gave us some new opportunities, but, I still lost money.

Tophies cost a bundle! It's difficult to determine which ones to get so that the crowd will be happy. It's difficult to determine how many to get (there are soooooo many categories) I still have about $150 in trophies!
It's like gambling! How much do I put in? How much can I afford to throw away?

It would be easier if ther was a company that would just do the whole thing and take all of the profits. We would provide the grounds, advertising and manpower.

Yes Norm did go with dB drag and yes most of his shows were small (locals and hard core) but he went with small tropy's and we always showed up to his events. Robert only does 2 shows a yr with IASCA (one at the start of the season and one at the end) so either carry on with dB drag in Norms place or let robert have his big first and last show of the yr and you fill in the middle with smaller ones. But I can pretty much say that if you go with dB drag you will have more ppl come out as most of the db draggers do not go to iasca events.
