Well I am really leaning towards the cold cathodes because they are the brightest I believe, and they are an even glow. Would there be any way to pad them or brace them to ensure they woouldn't break?

i dont think your running enough power to make them fall apart. they'll come with velcro to apply them cause i bought a set for my PC. that should be all you'll need for it to sit inside the enclosure

they are 2mm tubes or so inside of a plastic tube so they already have some protection built in with plastic endcaps that mount them in, I would suggest mounting them with THICK double sided foam tape (dont want them falling off)
They are not the most delicate things but a car is a rough ride and the subs actually are pretty loud so vibrations pull and push of air all have influence.
They are definitely the brightest of the bunch other then individual leds 2-12" tubes will make it glow like crazy.

You might look in to tubing clamps, many are cushioned, similar to these: Vermatic Clamps - hose cushions

Well im thinking of putting one at each change of angle along the front. So 8 12" CC tubes in total... That shoud make the thing light up.

8-12" tubes will make your car glow from down the street, I had 2-12" not even bright ones under my desk and it fully lit up and provided a glow across the whole room.

Hmmm... I guess I could cut it down to 4. Since the box is divided in half i could just put one in each of the two sections where the angled peices meet on both sides. That would probably work well... and if it's not enough i can always just order more

how many cubes again?
If your putting mirrors and stuff it will glow out the top,
I am sure 2 or 4 tubes will be bright enough each to their own though.
What color are you going for?
Anny completed pics?

I'm going to put in green colour lights because my car is green and I just like green lmao... oh and plus my GFs favourite colour is green... green is good.

No new pics yet sorry lol... we had a test today and I didnt get to do much work on the box. Im planning to take it home tomorow for the weekend to paint it black on the outside and white on the inside temporarily until I carpet the outside and mirror the inside.
