Ok so heres the skinny. I'm planning on getting some new subs and build an enclosure for them, but I have some questions about size. Now the recommended size is 2-2.5 cubic feet, and the driver displacement is 12 cubic feet. If I were going for 2.5 cubes, would I need to make the box 2.13 ft^3?

furthermore, what difference does size make between 2.5 and 4 ft^3? i only ask because i see guys with huge boxes and don't know the exact mechanics behind why
