not sure what u mean by port ups front x2

the reason u want to go between the magnets is so that u dont have to struggle trying to push/pull the inner flare in and out when you are trying to tune it.

otherwise it might be getting stucked under the magnet.

2x = My choice too but...

I have to get the subs out of the old box so I can position these right, I'm not sure that the 2 end ports can fit up front between the magnet and the side wall gonna be real tight.

May have to put them along the back after all..
We'll see.

^ IMO you don't want the ports up right between the woofers. They may interfere with your bracing.

I'm assuming you meant ports....Yeah they did interfere a bit, they also didn't fit at the ends like I feared.. So i'm putting them along the back equally spaced..

Got the port holes cut and the ports cut to size, but since I'm still waiting for one sub to be built and sent ,so I'm not in a hurry to finish it right now(ie resin,45's etc.

the box is 7 cubes before displacements
or
about 6 cubes after displacements

Tuned to just under 34hz using the PSP port calculator for direction with 7 cubes = 4 - 4" ports 15" long

Some pics of the box now up on its legs built for clearance.
The screw holes are filled and flush with the edges square ad flush also.
Alot of sanding.

But it's ready to be resined and covered etc etc.
I've been thinking , after the resin , maybe a covering of something.. Not vinyl though, maybe brush on type of stuff ?
Would it hold with a coat of resin on top?
Marble look, granite, ebonized ??

Anyone have some different or off the wall ideas
