i would take that curve off. i only had the curve (always) on the opposite side of the ports.

the whole will not be air tight, how would you slide the inner flare through? unless you want to take out your subs every time you need to adjust the port. that would be the biggest pain in the *** when tuning.

again, i would not round off that portion like that. the most i'd do is maybe put a corner in there cut out of a 2x4.

Yeah.. probably not the best for SPL running it that way.. if that is your thought?
If we really feel like trying to load off the rear, we could run subs up/ports back also, just turn the box.
Basically, because we wanted MAX box size, there's so little room between the box and the rear plastic,(like 2"-3") I didn't think the air would flow well enough out of the ports?

Do you figure we're gonna lose alot of SPL running ports up in a extended minivan?

I had subs and port up awhile back, it worked well enough for a 147.6 on under 2K. Might have to adjust the seats a little forward so you can go with the originally planned subs up port back...

Try it this way... meet up with someone and test, then go switch it around and test again. Only way you'll know for sure.

Was that number pretty well the highest you did with your JBL DS?

Cause the wish is a 144+db when we get it in and tuned etc. ...So theres hope.

I understand now that testing is key to SPL good advice...
we'll have to set up a temporary amp "rack" to put on the back seats, so we can flip the box to test without re-running all the wires etc from the gear planned to be on the box.

Hopefully I will get everything but the resin done within the next couple days, and the day my family leaves after Xmas, I can smell the house up.

On that note, does anyone know of a way to do resin in a home without it smelling like crap for a week?

Ya, that was the highest score I got with the Crown. Even with all the smack talk I got about my "weak" score, it was pretty good for a daily, behind 3rd row setup. I'm sure you'll get to 145 with this box... especially if you plan to run the AB.

As for resin, I say maybe do it in the laundry room or something, lol. I use front room or bedroom... lmao, but not many people can get away with that.

resin will stink up your house like you have no idea. my advice is do it outside and use a fan to try to make it cure faster then just cover it with a tarp.

A lil extra hardener and it'll cure at just about any outside temp, lol.

i just built door panels in my garage which was frezzing i used extra hardner to help it dry and used a heat lamp as well, and a heat gun works well to! eaither way doing it outside will work just takes longer to dry!!
