Thanks for the advice guys, could almost call that a gift to my families noses. Extra hardener, open windows and a heater it is..

DS- Hoping to get 144 on the 2 US Amps XT's strapped DS. (So we're street stock legal) The AB will be for my ride when it starts( still waiting)
It'll get a tryout with this box and the frankenwoofers for at least on show next year in the van, really would like to have the electrical up to the task first. ...hoping for more than a 144 then.

Thats the way we'll run it for a while bro

The port holes in the sonotube and the final coats of resin are getting done today.
Was also kinda bored the last week for something to do, so I made up a .4 cuft sealed box to fit between the front seats firing forward off the dash and up. Made for our new to us, Orion XTR MB6, running 250hz and down. Also going to paint it to match the sub box, a hammered aluminum look, with an acoustic fabric speaker cover.

Here's a couple pics so far.

You know by the time you finish working on this it's going to be time for the shows to start....

I am looking forward to hearing this once it's done......you still putting the other MBs in the door pods?

Yeah, it'll probably be right down to the wire when it's "done". April is the earliest according to the budget grinch(my lady) eyes:

Not sure about the other MB6s Red...They are going to be in the van for sure, but maybe in the rear pods to replace the old PG ZR 6.0 , haven't decided or tested anything yet... The PG's are the weakest link, only 50wrms...

Basically we're not sure if we'll need more midbass up front once the center channel one is in, since we have some ideas to boast the front pods/DAT D6's midbass output also.

Would love to demo it for you and here your opinoin bro. Will do

Its all resin'd and put together now, we decided since we'll be pulling it in and out at least a few time before show season, we'll leave the paint for warmer weather. Save a least a few scuffs.

Ports went in nice and tight after cutting the holes in the sonotube.

what do you think will be louder?
Amp is 1000wrms@1ohm

1-12" dvc in a 1.5 cuft ported box - running at 1 ohm
or
3-12" dvc in this box(7cubes) amp running at 1.33

We plan on trying the box on just one amp until the spring thrash. Would like to know if its gonna be worth it, the 1 sub is ok, will the 3 be louder on a little less power??

Oh, a few pics..

You put the sono angle on the same side as the ports??? ...interesting... usually the angle is opposite the port...

yeah... the idea was to direct all the wave to the entrance of the ports. Kinda directing it all to the back/bottom of the box where they are.

When you showed me a pic of the braces at the front of a box(to direct it back) and Yuli showed me a few pics of sono'd curved boxes to direct it to the ports. I guess I just put the two together thinking it would work well in this box.
BUT, if you've never seen this before ?? Dang, that's scary to hear!! Gotta figure if the design was good it would have been done before and over again.. Guess we'll see.

Gotta be better than my prefab anyhow..(crossing fingers!!)

Is that your new box??
