I have the serial numbers and will soon have pictures of everything, I just need to take the time to find the coverage I'm looking for.

Im Through Economical Mutual Insurance Company, I pay an extra $45 a year for 'Extra Content'. My Broker had me take a quote form down to one of the local radio shops, they listed everything on it as MSRP prices, as well as install time.. I have i think $1700 (what i paid) into mine, but the quote came out to $3200 total, and they used that to calc the extra $45 I pay.

My Broker is a good friend of mine and he had to hunt around to find a company that allows the difference.. There are many loop holes in insurance, hence why it is extra content and not specific to stereo.

Thanks for the help guys, rbc just said that they wouldn't cover it without explanation and tried to drop all of my coverage, including liability and collision that day.
Its not that big of problem anymore, I found a company that will cover everything and they are a whole lot less expensive.

RBC was not the most expensive when I first shopped around, it was one of the better quotes I got. The claims department was awsome and very quick but dealing with the main office was annoying, eveytime I needed to talk to them they found some way of adding on a few bucks to the bill. Now with the same coverage and stereo insurance I will be saving over $1600 per year with HSBC. I quess I will have to wait and see what the service will be like though.

My insurance is with ING. I just found out today that they will cover up to 1500 automatically, and i pay an extra $75 a year for an additional $2500. So that brings me up to $4000 coverage. Milton, thats crazy that just by switching companies your SAVING $1600. What were yo paying before?? With my company i got my truck insured for appraisal value ($30,000), my stereo insured for $4000, and my little '94 Dodge Colt for running around and winter driving, and my insurance is only $1770 a year for everything.

Before I was paying more than $4000 just for the one car. At the time that was a good quote compared to the $4700 and $5500 that some of the other companies wanted.

hmmm damn BC insurance. They told me to cover up to $3000-$3500 for stuff that was bolted down or permanently connected to the car in way or another it was basically $500/year. That payment had to be made up front and all at once - not add'd onto the monthly payments thru out the year.

To me thats kinda a rip off! Well maybe not a ripoff, but forcing a person to pay it upfront all at once hurts, i dun understand why they couldn't just add it onto the monthly payments - ah well.
