I wouldn't. I would save up a little more loot and buy a good set of speakers and call it a day. Have a look at this set to see if it will work for you.

Have you herd the energy's running off a tuned amp?

whats a good speaker those Eclipse's?...The Energy speakers running off a good amp with a decent source will out do most high end brands at the $1000 price point. Trust me I just swaped out my Focals for these and what a difference.

so im confused.. ive read all 7 pgs and there is no clear answer as to who makes these and if they are the same company as the home audio energy.

and also how good do these sound? would they be worth replacing my macrom m2s.61 for a set of these??

Well I put a pair of there 10" subs in a custom fiberglass box in the back of a civic hatch and they sound pretty dam good but it's like any sub in the right box they sound good .Put them in a box thats not right for them and yes they sound like sh!!The best thing i can tell you is to listen to a pair in the same kind of set-up that you want to use and be your own judge.I think that they sound great but everyone has there own taste.Good Luck!!!!

That was me that cast doubt on their manufacture and I was misinformed.

My understanding of the 12V product is that it was developed by a third party and the name is used under contract. Same as the Energy home wire line and power bar products, I believe it is developed by the same people..

At the end of the day, it comes down to what the stuff sounds like, reliability, ease of install etc..

The stuff I have seen is made off-shore as most of our industry is now - for better or worse
