Thanks for re-informing me on the axis positions for both tweeters. I'm going to try on-axis w/ XT25 first and off axis with the TN52's. I'll be able to A/B them easily with Dean connectors ( idea thanks to FOZZZ )

I'm willing to entertain other ideas if anyone has them.

Ultimately I'd like to use a pair of these:

but $400+ea is out of my reach!
I think I saw the Revs on sale a while ago somewhere for almost half price. So, they do go on sale sometimes. Just gotta keep an eye out. I never heard them in person, but I can't help to think they are not what they are jacked up to be, a good speaker is a good speaker, and I would be hard pressed to say that I could tell a big difference. Taste for sound is different for everyone, however with the Revs you get bragging rights galore I am sure you can afford them, to some of us, it is not even a paycheck, but the potential satisfaction of years to come from owning a set is priceless. I would hate to put a price on my ears.

I've heard them in person in a home audio application and they sound phenomenal!

Thats a nice looking tower. I would be afraid to play it loud with my demands for loud music. I love it loud and clean even at home. I got a pair of simple LPG and Dayton blend of 3-ways(1" tweet, 5 1/4" midrange, 10" midbass) on a Denon 3808, with a couple of 12" Kicker L5's ported powered by Dayton 1000 watt sub amp. I am content, as I am pealing the trip off my neighbors car lol

^^^ That tower looks like it has a Rev and a ribbon type tweeter. Interesting stuff. Those mids look like Seas.

The Rev tweeter is about as nice as it get for a tweeter, but they are huge. You would be better to stick with the Neo Rev or other small format tweeter. I will be using the L1 Pro, which I hope does what I want it to.

Wow Denon 3808 - I had one of those - 3806(i think) b4 I got my hands on some Vonschweikerts. I acquired them used....They were loaded with Vifa Tweeters, Seas mids and Dynaudio 10's. The center channel was the same except no sub(of course) The sub was called "THE TOWER OF POWER" Modified Dual 10" Dynaudio drivers with a BOB carvers 800watts RMS amp(2600peak) 16hz +/- 3 db "SEALED - I miss it so much but my education was more important. The biggest bummer was selling the Anthem Processor and 5 ch AMP. The power and clarity for a multichannel amp was quite a step up from my Denon.

One day I'll get a decent Home Theater together.

These speakers will surprise the hell out of you how loud they will play! Keep in mind with the right equipment and proper setup/room.

I also heard the VR5's recently at Target Hi-Fi in London Ont and they are similar to the VR's 9 but lacked the OOMPH i liked in the VR's 9 - The room and power was probably a key factor - Hmm 250 watts of MOON amplification (mono blocks) per tower wasn't enough. The sale guy let them rip and my co-worker who owns Paradigm and Rotel literally was completely amazed. They are on sale for only $17000 for the pair - Well that's what he offered me. Do think my 6 year old Kenwood Soverign Receiver would be up to the task??

You thought I missed the cleaning comment. What are the chances of me conning Al and you to come down for the day to do some sub box glassing and a-pillar pod glassing?

I've got more burgers frozen - **** I can do steaks & potatoes if all goes well - to top it all off we could finish it all off with a hot tub soak if no one is too .

Nice BOM fit, I have a VBP which unfortunately is the official baby carrier car. Otherwise she'd have 100K2P components moulded into where the useless front windows are and 165KBe's in the doors with 40KX. killing all the trunk space. Instead i have K2ps and an FP150.2. Keep the pics coming, it's bringing a tear to my eye.
