Nothin wrong with Alpine bro lol And I wouldn't invest in Blaupunkt subs, I just like their 6x9's and some of their lines of decks.

Here is my experience my friend had alpine front and rear and had a blown 6x9 so when I pulled my system out of my car I le him toss my quart 6x9's in his vehichle till he had money for a new set.
I a not going to say it sounded bad but the alpine's upfront were very bright and the quarts mellow, it just sounded off.

I think what bigmike is saying about alot of people match for looks is true but I think you have to mak sure the speakers sound somewhat the same.

i don't think that to many people here that are slamming blaupunkt have listened to it lately
as in comparing it to sony
i would take blaupunkt any day of the week over blowme
as in alpine i have worked on many alpine radio's which i would call sub par construction and would put blaupunkt construction above them
the head units are definatly not of asian influnce
as in there speakers
i personally would take there speakers dollar for dollar over any other speaker out there
most speakers out there in the price range being japanese have no bottomend and are all midrange
sure they sound louder
i would take nice sound over loudness any day of the week
i sell off of pioneer and kenwood speakers and when ab'd the customer 95% of the time takes blaupunkt
there warranty is no questions replacement on speakers

I would take Pioneer Speakers over equal (or even more expensive) Blaupunkt any day. And I love German stuff. I drive VW's, eat Schnitzel, have Black Forest Cake for desert, but would never use Blaupunkt. EWverything I have ever seen or heard from them has been Legacy quality IMO. I think the east has better access to this stuff as well since no shops in western Canada seem to carry them. I had to search high and low to buy some Blaupunkt, what a waste of time.

whoa - I just went by Aralex's website to see if they were still doing Blau and it looks like they no longer have Blau OR SoundStream

Too bad they still have Concept - that brand deserves a better distributor IMO.

Their new flat woofer is kind of slick (the local dealers never demo it so I am to assume...)thin and minnimal required volume

On the blua topic, I have used blaupunkt speakers for years in many different cars. For there price, they are one of the better speakers for taht price range.
Sure they are not top quality high fidelity speakers, but for their price they are hard to beat.

George should stop hanging around mainstream audio stores, and stop listening to what the sales people tell him. I bet George has never even used half the equipment he listed. Next George is gonna tell us that Audisson is crap as well  ... George seems to put on an act like he knows all, when in fact heès just ing more hear-say.
