oh yeah. For a beginner when I first got them it felt like i had a sub for a little while lol Then I got a sub lol

Well I guess they got the bling factor down.......

I have an older Blau amp from the mid 1980s, does 15x4, solid little amp. I prefer more of their older stuff, but that is also my bias...

Still can't believe you forked out $200 for those.... ;)

Blinddemonz 03-18-2004 02:16 PM

they were brand new n i was unknowledgable at the time, I heard them in the store before I bought 'em and about the bling factor, I didnt know what they looked like till after I bought 'em lol they just had a black cover on 'em when I was in store. They don't really need to be nice lookin to sound great unless ur showin 'em off, and from where they are right now in my car u cant see 'em

George thinks for $200 a person could get a way better 6x9. George thinks that brand names aside for $200 you can get into a good 2-way 6x9 with a soft dome tweeter.

George thinks that a good 2-way with a soft dome tweeter is always going to sound better then a 3, 4 or 20 way 6x9.

I was 17years old at the time bud and just getting into car audio and this way they installed them for me as well I didnt care I had money to waste.

we got a Blaupunkt tape deck on our Yamaha 1100 bike. I think it's from the early 80's and it's a dual knob and everything. It hammers the 3.5" speakers on the bike's dash. lol...don't they sell that stuff at Wal-Mart now? ohh well. back to the subject, i think that mixing speakers for the average listener is not ideal, because they will be voiced differently. if you have brighter speakers in the rear vs. softer speakers up front, then your ears are going to be picking up more highs from the rear, which isn't right. whatever, just go with whatever the O ntario S tereo A ssistace P lan can afford ya.

Buffdaddy 03-20-2004 01:10 AM

Wise man once said...if you like how a speaker sounds, and you can afford it, then it is a good deal.

No point walking around with buyer's remorse 24/7..

good on you, boomin

^ Yep - I would never suggest a person buy a speaker they did not like the sound of because of brand or reputation. If you actually like the sound of that $79 speaker then you should buy it!

Just keep it in mind when you buy the other set too.
