Hey guys, has anybody heard anything about that new 22" sub that MTX is putting out. Its called the Thunder 9922 Jackhammer. Its 320 pounds, sound familier Dereck? and looks pretty intense. I wonder if this is going to be a flop like the RFL?

The RFL was not a flop in the correct hands.

Yea... IMO.. cool.. but... too expensive considering what I think it will do... its so heavy it retarded.... and its FS is probably too low for most spl competetions...

I like the idea of big azz super sub.. but I think MTX puts too much marketing in where they should be concentrating on making an effective product....

The fact that it weights 300+ lbs tells me they are concentrating more on MAKING IT LOOK BIG then real performance.....

Thats my opinion anyway...

It won't do much on the competition circuit considering most orgs have banned anything larger than 18"

ohh.. DW.. that hurts man...

If you like it so much why dont you buy one.. should work well in your 40hp car.. dont forget the KY when you pull out your credit card...

Edit: my only point is that you can find 2 smaller subs that should out preform it for alot less money.. and they wont weight even close to 300lbs either...
