Since you bring up RE.. 2 xxx 18s would hang at a fraction... I guess Iam secure with the size of my member and would prefer performance over perception.. thats just me... and I did say it was sorta cool BTW...

Tell me Iam wrong that fs would be way too low for SPL competition... tell me Iam wrong that you could get the same performance for less money with different equipment... tell me Iam wrong that the thing weights 300lbs because of thier marketing department.... tell me Iam wrong... YOU CAN'T CAUSE IAM RIGHT..
You make me laugh...............

First point..................WE don't know the specs on this woofer, so any speculation on your part is just

Second point.............I never and MTX never said it was a SPL sub, you just once again grabbed this idea and ran with it..........

Third point..............you are wrong about the performance part of it, or your right but again since no one knows it more talking out of your...

Fourth point...........You are right, marketing just came to the engineers and said that looks cool but could you hide some weight inside of it to make it heavier so the it sounds cool.........heaven forbid it actually makes a difference in how the woofer works

I will give you credit though.......................I haven't laughed this hard for awhile, so for that.............please don't change

^^ Obviously this is its intended purpose.... car audio bling. I am pretty sure this thing was developed as a marketing tool to create a buzz and publicity for MTX. Looks like MTX has succeeded

Ahum hum.. well whatever.. we can all agree to disagree then...

I just dont know of too many SPL cars with large drivers that peak out around the same as the vehicles res. freq. when installed... sorry... (I think most cars with solo-xs Ive heard about burp low and get a relativly LOW SCORE... considering the power and size of the driver... its just not easy to mate with the vehicle/install.. although they may be nutts at lower freqs....)

BTW.. for the price I wouldnt have 2 other subs.. Id get like 10 of those fricken LMT drivers for that price.. whos gonna win ???

Dont get me started there slownlow.. did you even pass HS ??? (Iam J/K)

So where can you show me info about these interchangable cones ? maybe if its made of 1mil paper like a Proaudio driver you can get FS over 18hz...

Sorry, you guys can say/think what you want.. in 1year we can talk about it again and Ill still be around to burn ur azzez cause i knew I was right.. (either that or Im not such a ####ing puss that I cant take a flamming for being wrong)

Tim, Dukk or whoever, I have a question, how does FS determine whether or not its an SPL sub. Entirely exclusive of everything else, including effeciency, how does it make a difference?, from what I learned in Pro audio and home audio, as well as fooling around with bassbox, all the FS determines is how low a sub can go, like where its starts its freqency roll off... is that correct, or is that wrong? I've seen, for the manufacturer to increase the effeciency, they increase its FS, till it gets really high..... sometimes too high, and then it gets unusuable for daily driver use. Like with the RFL. It had an eff. of 93 or something like that, buts its FS was supidly high, like 73 hz or something like that. Its a trick to make the sub louder, but then with an FS of that high, it startes its roll off at like 65 or so. is that right? Or what gives with the whole FS deal

I know its a lengthy question, but if you gurus can help me out, that would really make my day. Thanks so much

</font>
You guys are hilarious, but so true. My dad bought VW jetta, and hates it, just hates it. Now he thinks all german engineered cars are the same. So I told him, wait 'till you drive a nice benz, that'll change you opinion very very fast. You cant judge something till you've driven it.
trust me, Benz' are worth the money, I cant explain to you in the next hour how much nicer a benz is from a Lincoln, or a lexus. they are literally in-comparable.

^^ Its all in relation to the install..

But it takes more acoustic energy to hit a high amplitude at a lower freqeuncy... especially if you are peaking well under your vehicles resonant frequency... usually the case with a sub that has a heavy azz cone...

kickrolds... hope you didnt pay too much to read my overpriced post..
