The Type-R and Type-S enclosures are some of the worst built enclosures I've ever seen in my life. I borrowed a Type-S enclosure from my buddy because I didn't feel like building an enclosure for my Type-S right away. The first day I got the enclosure, I blew out the corner with 300 RMS ... And I thought it would just be a simple fix (clamp it, reseal it with silicone), nope, the corner actually cracked [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

Anyways, the Type-Rs LOVE power I'd recommend 400+ per sub for the 10s and 12s and 750+ per sub for the 15s ... I wouldn't run 1000 watts per 10/12, though ... I called Alpine a while back (back in the 1X40 days) and they told me 1000 watts is the thermal power handling of the motor ...

thanks for the help. looks like ill be buying 2 12 type r's again.

one more question i was in a shop the other day and heard 2 12" Kaptions anyone have input on those.. Im looking for more of an SQ setup.. but also i want my subs to pound if needed
