Ok, so I've followed your suggestion to an extent. I ran into some car troubles that might be expensive to repair so I don't think its a wise choice to be buying a new audio system until my next paycheck.

What I did do was install the Infinity 6x9 speakers(100W RMS) in the back. Then Infinity 6.5" speakers(65W RMS) in the front. It didn't cost anything as they are from the old car that I'm trying to sell of just for parts, its not in driving condition

Next I adjusted the amp to only send frequencies below ~100Hz to the rears. It sounds great! Although 6x9's can't compare to a real sub you can still feel the bass fairly well. And to adjust the bass I can simply use the fader. As far as the fronts go they sound great to. Although they are multi-element speakers so I would think a high quality component setup would sound better.
