BEST AMPS FOR STREET!!
Just abit of a hint to everybody These amps are regulated power. 12V or 17 volts they put out the same power. 1500rms music rms not straped. Also the amps have problems berping under 1 ohms. 2 ohms is the idel spot you want to be to berp, the only sub that will berp these at 2 ohms with power is the 2 Ohm Spl 5000 subs. BUT THATS JUST MY 2 CENTS he he he!
Yes, the power supply is PWM regulated MOSFET but there are a couple things that make this power supply different than most amplifiers.
#1 - IRRP (Independent Rail Regulating Power supply) separately regulates the positive & negative rail voltages (most amps only do the positive).
#2 - DAP (Dynamic Amplifier Protection) reconfigures the amplifier based on output signal level allowing the highest possible power carrying capability (also known as "low current density").
I agree with crazy4bass in that these amplifiers will perform best at a two ohm load (the TS-W5000SPL is actually a dual four ohm voice coil sub) & with its' MASS (Multiple Amplifier Syncronization System) it's easy to configure systems in many different ways. This will also maintain reliability as Team Pioneer also has won the dB Drag Racing DeathMatch finals two years running with NO PRODUCT FAILURES!
I did see another post on this forum; however, that a 16V test at one ohm allowed the PRS-D5000SPL to produce 3000 watts RMS.
Obviously we will see more use of this amplifier as more & more retailers & customers get to use them (it has already sold out & just arrived in stores recently).

#1 - Those vehicles are FAR from street. They are running 18v electrical systems. So saying they are a good "Street" amp means nothing
#2 - Being loudest at the first BIG show of the year means nothing.
#3 - Euro Spring Break is this weekend. Your reign as "loudest amps" is about to end
They sound like very respectable amps and you obviously have a HUGE bias. Just want to make sure everyone knows what's up.

Not really, What most people don't understand is that just because it's regulated does not mean it will do the same at 11 volts as it will do at 14+ volts. 1/2 the amps on the market are regulated but what they won't tell you is that the cut off is at 12.5 or 13 volts witch makes it useless for most street guys, so the question is were are the cut offs?
Just because it's regulated doesn't mean it will do the same power from 11v all the way up to 17v.
Btw.. I'm not sure I follow your logic in saying that the only sub that will burp them at 2Ohms is the SPL 5000. They've got some special 2Ohm coils that other subs don't have?!
Hey Jordy,
Here are my responses to you:
#1 - Why wouldn't they make a good "street" amp? They're CEA-2006 (14.4V) rated at 1500 watts.
#2 - True, but Scott Owens has REGAINED the world record as he previosuly held it. This isn't a "one shot deal" from him.
#3 - Maybe, but who's to say the European competitors won't use this amp as well? We'll see!
Sure, I'm biased because I'm employed by the company but I also like to inform people as there's a lot of misinformation floating out there.

Everyones competitive spirit was there and from what I saw (yes, I was there) no one was competing for second place.
Props to Pioneer. They built one bad mammajamma.
Also if I heard correctly these were the same subs used last season as well. Pretty awesome product quality and reliability.
