what are you going to do about rings over lapping?

also, the sub thats over the port wall breaks not because the port wall is too close but rather b/c that area pockets alot of air and it doesnt load insync with the other sub.

 

Rings overlapping was no prob. I countersunk the sub just enough to allow the overlapping one to lay flush. I'm hoping the small 45 will help push air out of that pocket as well as haveing the left sub slighter farther out.

Hey Rob its Samuel from SSA i have a question for you

I watched your video on port tuning and i understand how you cut the port down till it peaks at 43hz but what determines 43Hz? Is that the res frequency of your car? I was just wondering becasue as you cut down the port the peak would change, i presume that when you cut down the port all burps were at 43Hz or did you run sweeps.

Also what happened to the 8 flared port in the center idea? Thought about a 10 round port?

Robs not ready yet for the dark side of SPL. He still has woofers to tear up and new ideas to try before becoming a Trunk SPL Jedi. A round port may gain big time for him and help with his loading issues.....
