ya if you have a stock alternator that amount of watts single batt then you would be street stock and your also a rookie

do you have msn man ?
Yup, MSN, but used while at work, not from home. About to get some sleep and will catch up here tomorrow. I do have an offer from someone on CCA here, in my area, to hookup their termlab. Just been busy and not been able to arrange having him over to test.

even individual shops can contribute by having weekend test and tunes, or building competing demo vehicles to show what they've got.

everybody has connections, abilities and capabilities to make it work, who's gonna step up?

thoughts?
When CCA or any other shop / show is ready for banners, let me know. I have an inside loop into that as my family member runs a printing business, specifically banners of large size.

Individual shops offering their shop for shows - brilliant.
Demo-ing their own vehicles and products - yes, why not.
Cheap testing days - need more of them.

We some way of promoting the shows. Not everyone goes on cca. The problem is the cost of promoting through radio and ads is to high for the return back. there has to be some way to get the word out that is cost effective

This isn't a one-point answer, that's for sure. Promo on all fronts.
Shops, online forums, internet videos, word of mouth ...

I don't see there being one thing that's the tell-all. It's not like these competitions need more money or bigger shows or anything like that. In 09, we did it all. Big shows and little shows. Lots of promo and no promo at all.

People have to WANT to compete and want to show up. There needs to be that pull. Shows can't look and feel as if they were "Thrown Together" ... sometimes there needs to be a plan. Not saying the guys around here don't plan, because a lot of shows were ... but there were defintely shows throughout the season where I was expecting one thing and got another instead.

This is a great topic and so very true I have been out the game for a while but I have to say it has fallen off. There was a show in Windsor last summer the only show at that and I didn't even know about it and I guess no one else did either because only one car showed up how sad is that. I remember there use to be like 6-7 shows just here alone Future shop being one of them. I want to get a termlab for testing when I can afford it and I defiantly would love to hold some shows next year. But I want to try to support as many this year as I can.

i may just be some idiot who doesnt understand what hes reading but it seems like we have a few gears grinding... heads butting... people calling eachother idiots... i think the intentions if the original poster were to get everyone working together to try to come up with a good solid solution... lets keep it on the same page here.. im a nobody in the car audio world.. i wouldnt mind seeing more shows and competing in alot of shows.. it seems like some guys are only drawn to big multi-point events.. why not do what we can with everything.. multi, single.. , no point events.. like mentioned before.. do what we can to get everyones interest and build off that..

totally different ball game but with mud bogging alot of people would come out to see the crazy 2000hp nitro buggies.. the owners of them however wouldnt come unless they got paid good money... that killed alot of it... no matter how many points, or db's i think this should be about the passion and fun we can have in this sport...
maybe i dont know what im talking about but i think even "just for fun" shows might help.. i think every show deffinately needs hair tricks!!!!! everyone loves watching that , haha. i think maybe some people may feel intimidated so if you try to give a just for fun kind of feel maybe more people will be like hey, lets try it out..

ok... im not exactly sure where im goin with this.. sorry guys.. im done. i will come back when i feel i have somethingh useful.

I too knew nothing about the Windsor show & I thought I would have had enough connections to at least know about it.

Let me know which shows you plan to attend and I'll try to make the same ones. Then we can make the drive together. I don't know if fox_racin (derek) will be making many. If you want to meet up some night somewhere, just to play around, let me know. I'm sure Derek would like to meet up again. I know there's more people in Windsor. We just have to get them motivated.

P.S. The termlab that Xiph0id had FS is Sold. I lose again. Thats 2 now that sold in less than a day.
