Ignorance is bliss isn't it... j/k:

You said that adding rubber spring blocks are the equivalent of welded steel blocks, which certainly is not true. You also claim that the ride is poor with a spring block compared to a stiffer spring. From personal experience, there is no noticeable difference. Playing with tire pressures has more of an effect on ride quality than the addition of a spring block.

Do you have any experience with spring blocks to substatiate your claim? If so, you should share it with us, rather than give useless one word answers that are not very insightful.

At any rate I it depends on the situation. Spring blocks certainly aren't for big heavy duty trucks or SUV's. Putting these in a large truck like your explorer, or an F-350, or any serious SPL car is not the best choice.

But for people like me with average systems, a spring block is not a half assed solution, it is a reasonable and cheap solution.

My camaro sag's aswell. So I picked up some Firestone helper air bags.
Basically, they are 2 air bags that sit on the solid rear axel. and can be adjusted by either a onboard pump, or by going to the gas station.
I will be putting them on this year.
And my dad had the same problem with his work bronco. 1000lb's of tools. So he has 2000lb helper springs on the axel.

I guess I am rather fortunate on this end^^ For someone to steal my subs out of my car, They only go in and out one way! and this process at my fastest takes me about 5min! If they want it that bad, let em have it!!! Insurance will cover most of it and I see it as a upgrade!! lol. PLus my car parks about 10' from my bedroom window and if they can make it away without setting off the alarm, I hope they have practiced the duck and run technique cause Ima shoot some ****er

What is your enclosure made of? MDF? If so, using something like baltic birch or void free apple ply can save you considerable weight.
