well with 1 18 that puts u into super street class. so u can either do super street 1-2 no wall and get smoked or u can do super street 1-2 and get smoked. pick one.

are you ready to have a big box/wall in your car with a port tuned so high that regular music sounds like total crap on it, 10 8volt batteries to support the 17v set up and possibly some 300 amp alternators.......nevermind the insane amounts of 1/0 gauge(or bigger) welding cable in your car?

....back to reality

It's kinda of a shame but 5k will get you competitive in Street and SS. 10K will get you closer and about 20k will win competitions.

Seriously give us a range and tell us how far you are willing to go as far as modifications are concerned with your car.

I am going ***** out next year with about 5k-6k and I am hoping for maybe 8th in the world in SS1-2.

Even less power will be needed to be competitive this year if quads are not part of the new rules. I would say go for it.
If SS-1 is a class this year, 6000 watts would be enough to be competive with anything but crowns or some of the big strappable class d's coming out from companies like rf and memphis.
