This is quite simple. If you REALLY need the abilities of a 900 to tune your system, either your install is a piece of sh*t or you are a moron and are just buying it because you can or you think it will score you chicks (Dukk!!). If you are into high end and can spend the money on a 900...... spend the time to do the install rite instead. Here's the bottom line...............

IT IS A WELL KNOWN AND WIDELY ACCEPTED FACT THAT IF THE INSTALL IS DONE RITE, THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE TO DO ALMOST ZERO TUNING TO THE SYSTEM............

I love to see you listen to Daves car then say that,if you could compare it to a car with better placment and no eq that sounds better...I would be amazed!

I agree with Tom.

A whizbang processor should not be a bandaid for poor system design/install.

No dis to Dave's car, but I've heard Joes (SweetNLow91SC) car and yes, you'd be amazed. And yes, I've listened to both cars and no Joe has no equalizer in his car.

No matter what, you are still dealing with the environment in a car. I think that you still need some sort of functional processing. It really depends as to the motive for using it. There are a lot of great installs that are using it to good use. After reading some of the posts listed, I think that there is a bunch of context that seems to be missing.

^ What you are missing is this same argument from last year.

And the year before that...

How do you like your roast? I like mine medium rare! I heard that Dukk meat is a little tougher though. (Ha ha)

Both Defro and I run F-1 (900). Dave only uses 2 fzs of equalization, I use none...hum...no band aid needed when the car is built right. The advantage to f-1 is the x-over and phasing on every preout.
