Hello,

What's your opinion/experience? Is the sound between Phaze-Audio and an new Butler Tube Driver differently? Have the topical Butler a warm sound?

Greetings from Germany

Do you mean the late version of Tube Driver TD-1500 series vs Tube Driver Blue TDB-2150?

O.k.... Here are my findings. Their very first generation of the Tube Driver amps being the best(warmest, sweet, musical, etc). When Phaze Audio took over... the parts used is no longer as good as the original ones. For example: the caps went from Panasonics to Rubycon, tube changed to Sovtek, different circuit board, etc. and the end result was they sound more analytical and lost the warmth of the original ones had.

The current Tube Driver Blue are sweet, open and detail in the top end, but from lower mid and down is a bit lean.. when compared to the previous Tube Driver. But they work great with compression drivers in waveguides/horns applications.

Hello,

I think, the best one for me is the first generation. How long is the warm up?

It usually takes about 15-20 mins, depends on the interior temperatures.
