ok ok for those of you who "CLAIM" to here differences in amps while under real world conditions, let me ask you this as your hearing is much much better than mine, and apparently so is your knowledge of electronics. If i place a waffle grill over my 12 inch sub, does it produce square waves???
I don't think that is even the point. I think for once when someone asks a question about sound differences in amplifiers, the people who think it's bs should keep their mouths shut and let the others discuss the subject.
But I guess that would be asking too much.

I like the comparison pinhead made
don't you think that should be a instead of a

At least with a cold air intake (depends on brand) you get a cool swooshing sound when you rev it up

well based on all this(a watt is a watt), there should be no advantage to running an amp at 4ohm vs. 1ohm for SQ? or am I missing something? I have not noticed a difference myself, but for years I've heard that you should run your mid/high speaks at 4ohms for better SQ.

Well, there are cars that a cold air intake gets them 20-30 hp, I hope I could notice the difference with that
