The alpine deck that I'm trying to install in my 05 civic does not line up with the factory mounting bracket which in turn is not allowing the deck to sit securely. Does this mean I have to drill new holes in the bracket in order to make it line up?

Are you sure yore goin for the right holes? Any reputable dash kit manufacturer makes their stuff pretty accurate. On second thought, I don't think you use the factory bracket with that car. Is it the civic with the large grey dash piece you have to purchase in addition to the actual dash kit? If so it's basically just held in with the factory plastic clips around the perimeter of the large grey dash portion.
