Problem with deck install

Hi guys, I tried installing a deck + amp + sub with my friends last night, but when we were finished, everything worked except the right speakers (front&rear).. we double checked the wiring and everything and even went out to buy a new harness, but that wasn't the problem...

is it even possible that the deck is faulty (since i bought it used) and its not passing signal to my right speakers?? or could it just be the fact that i blew my speakers..

when i turn the volume to about 20, i can hear a VERY slight sound coming from them, but it doesn't give off any noise when i have it at like 10.. thats why i'm wondering if i just blew them..

input please!!!

Did you check the balance on your deck? If you did then try running a wire directly to the speakers, don't use the cars factory wires.

yeah we played around with the balance but no luck.. wish the fix was that simple lol..

gonna test the HU on a different set of speakers first.. if they work then i'll try running directly to the speakers, but if not then i'll know what my problem is i guess..

take a AAA battery and put it on the wires that goes to a speaker ( unplug from radio before) if you don't hear anything, trouble with wiring ou speakers.

or you can switch right with left wiring and see if the right now works. If it does you found the problem(blowen ouputs on the deck). If not its the wires or speakers. To test that run another wire to the speakers and see if it changes if not its the speakers if it does work its the wire

Just an update, it was the deck that was causing the right speakers to not work.. is it possible to get the deck repaired or am i better off just buying new one?

what deck?If it is a lower priced deck get a new one if not it maybe worth fixing.Or if the deck has RCA outs by a amp and use it and save the repair costs.

deck is an alpine CDE-9845.. i don't know how much it's worth atm, but it functions perfectly besides the right outputs not working.. maybe i'll take it apart myself and have a look at it
