Please help on this servey
No offense, but I am surprised DD as a business has survived this long.
When you speak to Digital Designs and they tell you that you they cannot supply product on time (period), and that the typical buy in is 15k but they picked up Joe Smith from the trailer park for 10-12k, something is not right.
When they tell you that they have no clue what Nathan was doing for the last year, that scares me.
We spoke with DD for the longest time about picking them up and doing the distribution for Canada. 1, they couldn't hang with us and the buying power we had; they outright told us NO to our order "if" we were on board.
We wanted to STOCK product, that was out of the question unless of course it was product that wasn't selling, then it was ok.
Their communication and response time window is / was horrible.
They have NO interest in growing as a business. DD will remain "small time" (their words).
There is a great disconnect on their part when it comes to "the internet". I am not sure Jessa knows its been invented yet.
That being said, it's funny what Yuli is saying, because most of it is accurate. That’s how disorganized that company is. One day they will just close up shop and be gone.
They had mentioned about selling direct to Canadians but in the same sentence mentioned the new distributor for out west.
They had NEVER heard of Quebec.
I like the DD product and we worked hard to put things together on their terms, but being un-clued can’t be fixed. Regardless of how nice they are when they are trying to push product, they are disorganized as anything.
DD as a product interested me but as much as i wanted to make something work it would have been against better judgment.

I look at DD in this way.They are a machine shop not much more other then a great R&D department.I do know they don`t want to get big and want to stay small.Tell you the truth I am glad!!!
I would hate to see them go big then next thing you know the subs will be plastic and from China like most the sh-t out there today.This is where car audio started to go bad.There are vary few places out there that stay true to the roots.
like who wants to see Ferrari or Lamborghini go big.next thing you know they are a dame KIA.Boyd rods is another they went bigger now them $300,000 cars sell for a wopping $60,000.
Yes not every one has the money for somethings, but who wants to be the same as everyone else.
I see this crap all the time in 1320 racing.It`s not like everyone can buy a pair of turbos like mine they are out of 99.5% of peoples range,if they could I can tell you one thing you will find a better junk yard turbo as it will al go to sh-t.Take diamonds or things like that if everyone could they would and then its all just a stupid stone or what ever to surface your driveway.
I do know it is not the money for him and in his leage no one cares on price the less people have the more they pay and like but like I said it is not the money for him(lord knows he don`t need another cent for the rest of his kids lives) its all in the game and love of it all.
Rare is nice,mass just sucks!!
anyways I think we all get the points over this distributor topic there are tons of pros and cons but still the idea is nice
bump for a few more people to fill out the survey.Its easy 5-6 question multiple choice so you can`t get much more easy and fast.Takes a whole min max.Would be of great help.First post has the link.Thanks
the customer relations/service sucks. I had to get rid of my f motors. Why not eliminate the distributor's markup by getting it straigth from the manufacturer. This is what most of the DD competitors have been doing for the past few years. DD could never be sold by a distributor for the same price they got for from DD so why would anyone even want to become a distributor...
