Aveo Owners?
Aveo Owners?
I know I saw someone with an Aveo in their avatar. Anyways, I was wondering what you did to help power your setup?
I'm getting 1000-1200 RMS setup and I know that my little car won't be able to handle that stock, so what steps should I do first? I was thinking an alternator rebuild first, or maybe I should get a new battery first?

the guy you are talking about has 16 runs of 1/0 wire, i think. maybe more. and a NSB battery.
1200 watts is not that much power, you should not need a new alternator. jsut makesure you have adequate wire going to your amp and all your grounding and big 3 is done.

I forget where but someone mentioned I should get it rebuilt. But if not, it's better for me.
Do you know where I can find the power ratings for different sizes of wires? I'd like to have a little room to upgrade if I need to, so I'm not sure if 4 gauge will be good enough just in case I want to go about 2000 watts in the future.

As you can see from his sig, he's an SPL guy, so if you plan to play one single frequency on your system for two minutes at random with the engine off, then get that really good battery without worrying about the alternator.
