so you're willing to shell out more cash, so that you get a lighter setup weight wise, that will only perform like a 'normal' 10"

curious, I dont get it...

(then, I think I am going with 8's in my truck, as well, so meh....)

well,t he e8's are roughly 250 each...

and for that much moolah, you could find a pretty sturdy 10, or two...

I know you dont want to weigh down the car, but 40 or so pounds shouldnt make a great deal of difference unless you are 1/4 miling it, in which case you shouldnt have any speakers anyhow...
as for space, like Dave is saying, a 10 can be found that would probably fill up just as much room as the e8 in a ported..

but to each his own, its just fun to discuss

and meh, like i said , i'm looking at those 8's too,
i guess its all for the

Well, I passed that stage of blowing the doors off my cars....lol I just wanted something that will give me some nice quality low frequencies.

I wanted something that will "Just do the job" and do it well... without blowing my eardrums, or my cars' doors

The e8a is not for every application, but fits mine quite well....I think..hehe

We shall see when I get it.

all good points, and you are right in your thinking...

but I am simply arguing that basically, if you put equal time and thought into the box, amp, etc.... and I assume you would obviously do this

then a relatively comparable 10 can be found cheaper than that 8....

the e8 is a dope woofer, but I cant justify to myself the cost, but again, thats just me

I'd rather spend the 300 or so on two rather than one, I suppose
